Sports Course Delivery

First Contact Tag Rugby

This is a three-hour attendance course, which explores the best practices of tag rugby.

  • Indoor class room session
  • Warm up games
  • Small sided games
  • Ball manipulation
  • Support drills/Spatial awareness practices
  • Team practices
  • Refereeing
  • Build up of the game and how to deliver
  • The game and outcomes etc

The course although coach led is interactive and gives all candidates a chance to referee or coach. All participants receive a certificate from First Conatct. The course can be delivered at most venues and needs a minimum of 12 candidates.

An Introduction in Contact

This is a First Contact course and is 2 hours long much, of which you will be practising in and to participating in. Candidates must be 9 or older to take part on this course.

The course explores the ways to be safe in the contact situation.

  • Contact Warm up games
  • Tackling safety practices
  • Ball presentation in contact
  • Off loading before, during and in contact
  • Rucking safe practice
  • Maul safe practice

The course is interactive and each candidate receives a First Contact certificate to keep The course can be delivered at most venues and needs a minimum of 12 candidates.

Disability in Sport Primary School Session

A fun interactive course, which is one hour in duration, which is, delivered straight into the classroom. It explores the problem disability participants in sport face and the sports they can take part in.

It challenges children’s views and ideas about disability using interactive sessions.

These involve: -

  • A practice in Visual awareness using black out goggles
  • Assisting people with a disability
  • Finger Spelling
  • British Sign language and using it
  • Wash up / questions etc
