First Contact has invested in buying all new equipment and providing all its coaches with Kwik cricket kit on their vans to get your schools children playing. All our coaches will be sent on Kwik cricket courses to learn how to coach your children and get the best from them and improve their skills in this fun sport.

What is Kwik Cricket?

Kwik Cricket is the fun way of getting into cricket and developing your skills. But if you want to get there, it would probably help to know the rules!

Each team has eight players with at least one girl - the more the merrier! - and bats for eight overs.

It’s a Four!

The team is divided into four pairs with each pair batting for two overs each.

Runs for fun

You start with 200 runs, and that's not a bad starting point. England would be happy enough if they started every game with 200 on the scoreboard!

And then it's time to play cricket!

Every member of the fielding side has to bowl one over each – overarm if possible, but don't worry if you can't, underarm is fine.

Every time the batter gets out, five runs come off the total and the batters swap places.

But you can score runs exactly the same as in normal cricket to increase your total.

Howzat for Bowling!

You can only get out by being bowled, caught, stumped, run out or if you hit your own wicket - but don't worry about the complicated lbw (leg before wicket) rule, it doesn't exist!

If a wide or a no-ball is bowled then the batting side get an extra two runs - but no additional ball is bowled except during the final over.

You're not allowed any fielder within 10 yards of the batsman - except the wicket keeper.
